New Year, New Smile in 2022
New Year’s resolutions are all about goal setting.
For most of us, New Year’s resolutions are about health, fitness, and diet. Basically, quitting all our “bad” habits and creating new “good” habits.
However in 2022 you could focus on doing something that doesn’t involve giving anything up or starting some crazy new fad diet that you’ll be sick of by February. Instead with this New Year, what about a New Smile!
The following are ways you can improve your smile.
Crowns or Veneers:
Veneers are thin, custom-made “shells” of porcelain that permanently attach directly to your teeth. In comparison, crowns cover the teeth fully to provide extra support in case of existing cavities, fillings, or broken teeth. Both options can be used to fix gaps between teeth or improve the appearance of teeth that are badly stained, misshaped, crowded, or out of place and are designed specifically for you!
Dental implants are small screws designed to replace the root of a tooth and restore the physical appearance and the chewing function of patients with partial or full tooth loss. Dental Implants are:
- Ideal replacement for one or more teeth
- Alternative to removable partial dentures
- Stabilise uncomfortable complete dentures
Where all the teeth are missing or are about to be lost a Complete Denture is used to restore appearance and function. The retention (fixation), stability and tolerance of a complete denture are determined by a number of factors.
Schedule a visit to the dentist
If you haven’t seen your dentist in a while, the New Year is the perfect opportunity to schedule a check-up. You should visit your dentist at least twice annually to prevent any dental health problems before they start to become more complicated or cause discomfort.
Adopting these simple oral health game-changers can make a world of difference for your smile and for your overall well-being!
